App guide

The Smart Solar Hub and the WiFi microinverters are set up and monitored with the manufacturer's app. This page covers pairing, the feed-in limit and the charging schedule.

Sample for design review: this content will be checked by the client before the site goes live. ●

Pair the device

  1. Install the appScan the QR code on the first page of the manual. It leads to the app in the App Store or on Google Play. ●
  2. Create an accountWith your e-mail address. Choose the region where the system is installed; it decides which server stores your data.
  3. Add the deviceStand next to the device with Bluetooth switched on, tap “Add device” and scan the serial-number label.
  4. Connect to WiFiSelect your 2.4 GHz network and enter the password. The device shows “online” within two minutes.

Set the feed-in limit

Set the output limit to the value permitted where you live, for example 800 W in Germany. The limit applies to what flows into the house circuit; the panels may be larger, the surplus charges the battery.

Charging schedule

Self-consumption

Default. Solar first covers the house, then charges the battery. After sunset the battery covers the base load.

Time windows

Define when the battery may discharge and at what power, for example 150 W from 18:00 to 07:00.

With a smart meter

With the MR1-D5-W meter in the distribution board the Hub follows the actual consumption of the house and avoids feeding into the grid.

If something does not work

  • Device offline: check that the router still broadcasts 2.4 GHz and that the WiFi password has not changed.
  • Values frozen: close and reopen the app; if that does not help, restart the device with the power button.
  • Firmware update offered: run it in daylight with the battery above 30 %.
